introducing two of our catalysts: Areli and Nou

Areli Cortez

Areli Cortez is completing her studies in History and Anthropology of Religion at the National School of Anthropology and History in Mexico. She has been a staff worker for the IFES movement in Mexico (COMPA) since 2019 and has done pioneering work in her state.

Areli has been concerned by the way students in Mexico find it difficult to engage in discussions about Theology within the existing academic environment. As a historian, she believes that Theology makes sense of History, and she hopes to encourage and nurture healthy discussions around Theology within the academia.

Please pray for Areli, that her participation in the Logos and Cosmos Initiative will strengthen and equip her as she seeks to serve God in the University.

Nou POUDIOUGO is from Bamako in the Republic of Mali where he is an assistant professor in Ecology in the Department of Biology. He is also currently studying towards his doctorate in Applied Ecology.

Nou lives in a country where there is a 95% Muslim population. Through his studies and work at the University, he hopes to be able to speak easily and fluently about science and religion to both Christian and Muslim audiences.

Please pray for Nou, that his participation in the Logos and Cosmos Initiative will strengthen and equip him as he seeks to serve God in the University.
